Name: Mr Philip John Stobbart MSci AMInstP
Age: 22
Date of Birth: 10 - 07 - 1981
Marital Status: Single
Nationality: British Citizen
In my life, I have had two streams of interest, the first scientific, the second literary. I would like a job that combines these two into a creative occupation with a research ethic. I hope to settle down into a long term career, preferably located in London. I would also hope to be at the forefront of my chosen career, able to move within and experience its different fields
I can be a very driven and ambitious person, determined to find my goal, whatever it is, but I can also be quiet and contemplative. My creative writing experiences and degree skills show an ability to write in both presentational and mathematical streams. In both my technical and argumentative writing, I have often been required to research over a variety of mediums, including the internet, library and personal contact. The results are shown in the final product. My research reports were all of high quality and one of my articles was chosen to be a part of the first edition of the UCL Union's WyrdWyrm Magazine. I am fluent in all the aspects of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Works, and have also experience in Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. I have also run html projects involving direct coding through html, adding in Java elements, and the occassional use of Netscape/Mozzilla Composer and DreamWeaver. I have also had a bit of exposure to Flash, but not too much. In my University days, I also learned the Fortran Programming Language in order to complete my final year project, modelling Auroral Particle Precipitation and its effects, a model that goes to help UCL explain results from its particle and light detector on the island of Svalbord using current theory

I write Science Fiction, enjoy swimming, walking andsinging - including recorded and full audience performances. I often increase my presence on the world wide web with small projects like this, using my self taught and curricular knowledge of computers. I am also an active campaigner for the Conservative Party, taking part in discussions and canvassing large areas of London. I like to keep an active imagination and body. I am a member of the Institute of Physics, and also take an active interest in talks given by the British Academy. I have taken my interests further on a number of occasions, rising to the position of Secretary of the UCLU branch of Conservative Future and the Programme Editor of the University of London Union Chorus, helping to arrange and perform in two concerts during the academic year 2001-2002. I also helped to found the UCLU Creative Writing Society, acting in its committee for the first year of its life, whilst helping with its radio show and 'Fresher's Fayre' stall and also writing for the two UCL Union magazines, WyrdWyrm and Pi
